Contestants' Bios

Romika
  (singer)
Representing the Macy Gray Music Academy, Romika Faniel is a 16 yr old Jr, a native from Venice Ca who has been singing since the age of 5 and dancing since the age of 8. She Performs on stages all around Ca with a performance group called Rock Theatre. She is an assistant dance teacher to a group of young ladies called The Dancing Divas! You can catch them at the LA Marathon 3/19. Romika is now a protégé under Macy Grays direction soon to be a new artist on Macys upcoming label. With great pleasure she will now bless the Downbeat Showdown Stage!.
William Robelo-Lara

Hi my name is William Robelo-Lara. Well here is my small bio. I attend Palisades Charter High School and I am in the 12th grade. I am Mexican-American and I love music.
Lexi James
  (singer)
Lexi James is 13 years old and an eighth grader at Paul Revere middle school. She enjoys music, fashion and good times with her friends.
Cornelius Rex
  (poet)
Cornelius Rex is an Italian-American who identifies very closely with his distant ancestors of Ancient Rome. He is currently recording his new album, "Cradle to the Crown," which will be done in May. He performs at Downbeat when he can, but he prefers to read at adult open mics because he likes the older women. (Note: ladies, he's 18.).

Hi my name is Kashif Harris AKA Kash. I'm involved with a lot of things but poetry is one of my favorite. I attened Fairfax High School, run track, and I am 17 years old. When I'm not doing any of those things I love spending time with my girlfriend; U know, the normal teen thing!
